Wow! we had a new Iconic Ion at 640,000 sq ft called Ion Orchard a brand new shopping mall.

They have the poshest loos in Orchard called the $10K VIP restroom toilet comes with an automated seat cover that lifts up when the user enters and closes after use. While the public loos are spacious and grand. Wonder it would become a place for all those who wants to sit there for hours smoking away and dreaming and a good hide-out from the employer in this grand loo. Hee3!

Besides it has more than 60 brands opening stores for the first time in Singapore. But can Ion Orchard, which opens its doors on 21 July 2009 live up to the hype?

The mall is part of a $2 billion retail and residential development called Orchard Turn which is a joint venture between CapitaLand, Singapore's biggest developer and Hong Kong's Sun Hung Kai Properties, one of the largest developers in Asia.

The eight storey mall is within a 218m tall, 56 storey luxury building. The other 48 floors will contain 175 high end apartments called the Orchard Residences, which will be completed by next year.
Abour 84 per cent has been sold. Last mnth an apartment sold for $3,200 psf.

Hmm .... do not know whether I will have a chance to visit or view the apartments. Can bring Sophie there by bus during weekdays when Ah gong is back. She will love to go on a bus as I promised to take her one day. Yeah!
